2020 has brought many challenges for the FM industry but has also provided opportunities for change, growth and innovation. Asset Control’s CEO, John Keramianakis, reveals the learning’s from the pandemic and the year.
“2020 has been a difficult year for us all but we are looking forward to the challenges that 2021 will no doubt present to us”
John said that when the pandemic hit, Asset Control was able to switch to home working virtually overnight and has been able to continue to operate all aspects of its business, from business development through to professional services delivery and client support, seamlessly online.
John says: “We did find that we had to be tighter on reporting and created a real time dashboard to provide us with valuable business insights. Naturally the wellness of our staff has moved to the top of our agenda, especially now that everyone is working remotely. Additionally, we have had to change certain processes to ensure the smooth running of our projects. Some of the elements that were historically conducted face to face, such as training and scoping studies, are now being conducted virtually. More emphasis is placed on carrying out upfront business analysis work, ensuring we have the correct stakeholders in meetings, and our approach is more focused, time bound and controlled via a strict agenda. All elements which are necessary to ensure these activities are meaningful and successful.”
Talking about the company’s achievements in 2020, John said that Asset Control has continued to grow and deliver enhanced products and services. He says: “The developers of our products made changes in the method of use of the technology to encompass a ‘contactless’ approach for the users of the Concept Contractor product suite with a view to helping combat Covid-19. A Wellness app for use in the workplace was also introduced.”
Next year, from a product perspective, John says ASSET CONTROL will focus on the rollout of Concept Evolution v5.5 with enhancements to supply chain surveys and task appointments and management. He adds: “For 2021, further enhancements to the way task assignments can be managed in Concept Evolution, a new Surveys module with features for staff wellbeing, health & safety assessments, and improved mobile audit features for work and access surveys are being planned.
From a business perspective, our focus will be to continue to grow our customer base across the country. We will also continue to deliver the reliable, cost effective and user friendly solutions that we have become known for.”
