An interview with our CEO: John Keramianakis

FM: What impact has Covid-19 had on your business?

JK: Well, to start with it is important to note that our initial plans for 2020 have had to be reappraised. As I am sure is the case with many other businesses, we have had to adapt, readjust, realign and re-strategize! We have also had to be extremely agile. Moments like these, require a pause, in order for the current landscape to be assessed, and, so the future landscape, post-lockdown, can be mapped. This entire exercise has given us a really good test of our own agility and I am please to say, we have passed the test and are 100% ready for what is coming next! Further to our own changes, we have also seen our clients grappling with their own sets of challenges and frustrations during this time.

FM: What are the most common issues your clients face, what are they asking to be addressed and how can Asset Control help?

JK: Our clients are currently dealing with semi-occupied buildings and all the challenges surrounding this, on going maintenance needs and the need for better sub-contractor management for works that need to take place in their buildings. To address these needs, we are about to launch our Contractor management solution along with a contactless component to the solution. Covid-19 has exposed the need for a smarter, more digitized way of doing things, and we are tackling this need head on. Included in the contractor solution, is also an individual temperature-capturing App, where individual temperatures can be taken upon entering and leaving a client site, which is then automatically stored inside Concept Evolution.

Contractor is truly revolutionary and has been designed to be a full end-to-end subcontractor management solution.

At Asset Control we are not just about software, our Professional Services team uses their knowledge daily to configure these systems to meet existing business needs and to tailor them for current situations. Our “can do” attitude, extensive experience and vast programming capabilities, makes us a really great, hands-on partner to have.

FM: What do you think sets Asset Control apart from your competitors?

JK: The thing that sets us apart, is that we offer multiple benefits from a value-added perspective – rather than just from a product perspective. We’re unique as a company in that we have a competent development team within our business, which allows us to be very, responsive, pro active and agile. We are also in constant touch with our clients and passionate about our industry. We have over 30 years experience in all aspects of Facilities, Asset and Infrastructure management and are happy to share this knowledge with our customers, in order help them get the most out of our solutions and services.
